   1 This is a demo application used to test the LTTng userspace tracer.

   3 demo-trace shell script preloads the provider shared objects before
   4 executing the demo. Executing "demo" without the shell wrapper will not
   5 provide any tracing support. This ensures the demo binary can be
   6 distributed on distros without depending on having liblttng-ust.so in
   7 place. Note: the "demo" program must be compiled with "-ldl" on Linux,
   8 with "-lc" on BSD.

  10 The simplest command to trace the demo program are:

  12 lttng enable-event -u -a
  13 lttng start
  14 ./demo-trace

  17 That will create a trace in your $HOME/lttng-traces directory.
